Minnie Watson Dies at Age 88
Mrs. Minnie L. Watson, 88, early resident of the Andrews community, died at the Crawford hospital on January 14. Funeral services were conducted from Crawford Methodist Church with the Rev. William Richardson of Crawford officiating. Burial was in the Crawford Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Emery Zimmerman, Jess Locker, Patrick Dunn, Jerry Wasserburger, Irving Fox, and Merle Tolliver. Mrs. Eldon Spray was organist and accompanied Mrs. V. R. Rawie, Mrs. Willard Seibert, and Mrs. Elmer Raben who sang.
Mrs. Watson was born March 24, 1880, in Avoca County, Iowa, the daughter of Iva and Edson Kile. In 1897 she married George E. Watson in Niobrara, Nebr., where they resided until 1908 when they moved to Andrews. After her husband's death in 1945 she moved to Crawford. She was a member of the Methodist Church and Rebekah Lodge 128.
She had six children, four of whom preceded her in death. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Moritz (Oreatha) Wilhermsdorfer of Casper, Wyo., and Eva Craven of Crawford; one sister, Mira Addington of Englewood, Colo.; ten grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
