Lloyd Eugene Coleman

At his request no funeral services will be held for Lloyd Eugene Coleman, 90, but a memorial service will be held at a future date.

Lloyd E. Coleman died March 2, 2003, at Goshen Care Center in Torrington.

Lloyd was born in Wessington Springs, S. D., on Oct. 13, 1912, to Eugene and Emma Weeks Coleman.

He attended Stony Point School in Harmony Township. After Lloyd got out of school, he worked for farmers in South Dakota. In 1935, he moved to Wyoming and drove truck for his brother Seward.

On March 1, 1936, he married Isabel Kintigh in Keeline. The family lived in Lost Springs and Keeline, settling in Lusk in 1942 where Lloyd took a job at the Independent Refinery. He drove school bus and sold cars for Lafe Culver during 1947 and 1948. Lloyd went to work for the Wyoming Highway Department in 1952, where he worked until his retirement in 1974.

He is survived by granddaughters Cynthia Newsom of Hope, Ark., and Gale Jansing of Antioch, Calif.; step-granddaughters Tinette Hales and her husband Lee of Lusk, and Jodi Davis and her husband Tom of Cheyenne; six great-grandsons, and three great-granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his wife Isabel, son Warren "Gene", his parents, two brothers, nine sisters and step-great-granddaughter Breyden Hales.
