Funeral for Mrs. Vaughan Held Saturday

Funeral service for Mrs. Joe (Florence) Vaughan, a life-long resident of Niobrara County, was held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Peet Chapel.

Mrs. Vaughan died in Scottsbluff, Neb., December 4.

The Rev. Frank Bozart conducted the service with Mrs. A. F. DeCastro as organist. Mark Lohr sang "In The Garden" and "Beyond The Sunset."

Honorary pallbearers were Ted Lohr, Harlan Lohr, Mike Chard, A. F. DeCastro, Walter Zerbst, Levern James and Otto Vondra.

Casket bearers were Sven Johnson, William Welch, Warren Robertson, John Hammond, Jess York and Everett Kilmer.

Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Florence Francis Fancher was born March 29, 1906, at Kirtley the daughter of Harlan P. and Josephine Fancher. She received her education at Kirtley and Lusk and graduated from Lusk High School in 1924.

She married Earl Sides in 1924. They were the parents of five children. Mr. Sides died in 1956. In August of 1958 she married Joe Vaughan and they have made their home in Lusk for the last 12 years.

Survivors include her husband, three sons, Earl and Jim of Casper, and Robert of Lance Creek; two daughters, Mrs. Judd (Frances) Shafer of California, and Mrs. Earl (Shirley) Martin of Casper; three brothers, Harry Fancher of Scappoose, Ore., Robert Fancher of Kirtley, and Floyd Fancher of Seattle, Wash.; one sister Mrs. James (Ila) Paulson of Lusk; nineteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
