Funeral Services Held Friday for the Late Mrs. Emma B. Tudder

Funeral services were held for the late Mrs. Emma Belle Tudder at two o'clock Friday afternoon, in the chapel of the Peet Mortuary. Rev. Jacob Nein, pastor, of the Congregational Church officiated at the rites.

Mrs. Emerson Bonner and Mrs. Carl Peterson sang "Safe In The Arms of Jesus," and "Beyond the Sunset," during the services. Mrs. Judson P. Watson provided the organ accompaniment.

Interment was made in the family plot in the Lusk cemetery. Casketbearers were Helmuth Klemke, Floyd Simon, Jesse Rice, Roy McLain, Art Keller and Roy Quigley.

Emma Belle Tudder was born in Missouri, February 27, 1870 and departed from this life on March 22, 1954, at Evanston, Wyoming. She had attained the age of 84 years.

Her earlier years were spent in Missouri, where she was united in marriage to Joseph M. Tudder.

Mr. and Mrs. Tudder located near Douglas, Wyoming in 1904 and three years later moved to Niobrara County which was their home until 1924 when they moved to Casper, Wyoming.

Mrs. Tudder was preceded in death by twins in their infancy, her husband in 1936; one son, Elgin, who passed away in 1918, and a daughter, Mrs. Bess Curtis in 1927.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. M. S. Jackson of Fairbanks, Alaska; three sons, Fred of Kennewick, Wash.; Joyce and Delbert of Casper, Wyo.; a sister Mrs. Ruella Vandighenst of Rapid City, So. Dak.; two brothers, George Tibbitts of St. Joe, Missouri and Esrom Tibbits of Marysville, Mo.; four grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Emma Tudder Dies In Evanston March 22 at Age of 84

Mrs. Emma Belle Tudder, former resident of Niobrara County, died in Evanston March 22 at the age of 84.

Mrs. Tudder was born in Marysville, Mo. February 27, 1870. Her earlier years were spent in Missouri where she was married to Joseph Tudder.

The family located near Douglas in 1904 and then in 1907 homesteaded north of Lance Creek. Later they engaged in ranching south of Lusk in the Royal Valley community. In 1924 they moved to Casper.

Mrs. Tudder was preceded in death by twins in their infancy, by a son, Elgin, in 1918, a daugher, Mrs. Bessie Curtis, in 1927, and her husband in 1936.

She is survived by a daugher, Mrs. M. S. Jackson of Fairbanks, Alaka; three sons, Fred of Kennewick, Wash.; Joyce and Delbert of Casper; one sister, Mrs. Ruella Vandighenst of Rapid City; two brothers, George Tibbits of St. Joseph, Mo. and Esrom Tibbits of Marysville, Mo.; four grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Final rites were conducted by the Rev. Jacob Nein, pastor of the Congregational Church, Friday afternoon at two o'clock at the Peet Chapel. Mrs. J. P. Watson organist, accompanied Mrs. Emmerson Bonner and Mrs. Carl Peterson as they sang "Safe In the Arms Of Jesus," and "Beyond The Sunset."

Bearing the body to its final resting place in the Lusk Cemetery were: Helmuth Klemke, Floyd Simon, Jess Rice, Roy McLain, Art Keifer, and Roy Quigley.
