Funeral for Mrs. Tucker Saturday
Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Tucker were held from the Peet Chapel Saturday morning at 10:00 with the Rev. Frank Bozart of the Open Bible Church officiating.
Mrs. J. P. Watson was organist. Mrs. Lyle Eddy and Mrs. Emerson Bonner sang "In the Garden" and "Beyond the Sunset." Pall bearers were Lee Penn, Albert Penn, James Barrett, Frank Mahnke, James Krejci and Otto Krekeler, honorary pall bearers were Charles Hitshew, Don Taylor, C. E. Marvin, Roy Elder, Del Crane and Roy Quigley. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.
Ethel Rea Stevens Tucker, daughter of Frank and Ollie Stevens was born at Pierceton, Ind. January 26, 1905, and has been a resident of Wyoming since 1911.
Mrs. Tucker died April 22 at the Spencer Hospital following a lingering illness of emphysema.
She was married to Lawrence S. Tucker at Lusk, September 18, 1924. They lived on a homestead north of Lusk until 1936 when they moved into town where she has lived since. They were the parents of eight children: Myrtle of Lusk; Merle and Bert of Portland, Ore.; Georgia Schmidt of Ekalaka, Mont, Verna Rokne of Green River; Wayne of Lander, Lawrence of the U.S. Navy in Norfolk, Va., and Lorne Perlenfein of Fort Morgan, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her husband April 4, 1962 and by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by eight children, five brothers Wayne Stevens, Washington, Burr of Casper, Ray of Michigan, Hubert of Ogden, Utah, Myron of Alaska, two sisters: Mrs. Guy Brown of Sheridan and Mrs. Zella Stone of Portland and fifteen grandchildren.
She was a member of the Open Bible Church and the War Mothers.
