The body was cremated in Denver and burial will be on the family farm near Crawford.
Dave Ellis took Rupert to his home in Crawford so that other relatives could be called. He is survived by his wife, son Rupert and two daughters in Colorado. A son died here last summer. The family was well-known in this area because of earth construction work done for ranchers.
