Melvin Stinson, resident of the Niobrara County Nursing Home, died Sunday. Memorial service was Tuesday.
Melvin Ira Stinson was born January 29, 1900, at Weiser, Idaho. He and his father moved to Douglas in 1916 where he made his home until 1947. On December 23, 1952, he was married to Alice Millard at Mills. They lived in Casper and later in Saratoga until 1975 when they moved to Lusk.
The memorial service was presided over by James Van Horn at Peet Mortuary Chapel. Music was by Edna DeCastro, organist, and Mae Pilon who sang "In the Garden" and "How Great Thou Art."
Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery. Active bearers were Delbert Jackson, George Jackson, Richard Jackson, Bill Jackson, Lee Stinson and Richard Stinson.
He is survived by his wife Alice of Lusk.
