Julius M. Sparks
Funeral services for Julius M. Sparks, age 84, were held at Bakersfield, Calif., on April 27, 1994. He was the son of Archie and Frankie Sparks of Lusk, both now deceased.
He was born March 24, 1910, at Royal, Neb., and later came to Lusk with his family, residing in the Royal Valley area, south of Lusk. He attended schools in Lusk and then enlisted in the U. S. Navy, serving in two wars. He then worked for the United Postal Service for thirty-two years.
He was a member of the Masonic Fraternity, Eastern Star, American Legion, VFW and the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Eura, son, Carl and daughter, Barbara, all of Bakersfield, Calif.; also his sisters, Tillie Roley of Melbourne, Fla.; Thelma Carlisle of Lusk and Mae Gautschi of Casper, Wyo., plus many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
