Rosary And Mass For Billy Smyth

Rosary was recited for William Henry (Billy) Smyth, 87, at the Peet Chapel Thursday at 8:00 p.m. with Mass recited Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church.

The Reverend Colm Woods conducted the services. Mrs. Henry Wasserburger Sr. was organist and accompanied Mrs. Hobart Cockreham who sang "O Lord I Am Not Worthy." Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers were Richard Pfister, Harry Austin, Sam Thomas, Harry Boner, C. E. Marvin, Ted Jones, Bill McDaniel, Albert DeGering, Hobart Cockreham, Stan Brewster, Henry Wasserburger Jr., Judson Watson, Jim Wasserburger, Donal Jones, Ed Messersmith, Richard G. Montgomery, Henry Wasserburger, Sr., Rulo Roberts, Jennings Ruffing, John Alter, Glen Langley, Bill Miller, John Siemsen, Everett Thomas, Paul McDaniel, Loren Walker, Jim Meng, Jack Marchant, Ed Boner, John Glover, Raymond Smith, Donald DeGering, Edgar Jones, Mason Miller and Andy Christian.

Casket bearers were three grandsons, Wallace H. Smyth, C. W. Abell, and Bill Abell; a grandson-in-law Richard Grissoom, a nephew, Thomas Watson and Brad Jones.

Other out-of-town relatives attending were Mr. and Mrs. Whitney Abell, St Cloud, Fla., Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Smyth, Baltimore, Md.; Wallace Smyth, Belmont Abbey, Belmont, N. C.; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Grissom and C. W. Abell, Kissimmee, Fla.; Mrs. Bruce Hays and Billy Abell, St. Petersburg, Fla. and Thomas Watson, Denver.
