Stanford Clark Christian

Services for Stan Christian were conducted Nov. 6, at First Methodist Church in Fayetteville, Ga.

Survivors include his wife, Anita of Fayetteville, Ga., two children, son Doug and daughter Wendy; his mother, Elsie Christian of Colorado Springs, Colo. and a sister Georgeann Law of Colorado Springs.

Interment was in Fayetteville.

Stanford Clark Christian

Stanford Clark Christian , age 59, of Fayetteville, Ga., died Nov. 4 in Fayetteville. He was born in Lusk on August 19, 1934, the son of the late George Christian and Elsie (Smith) Christian.

He graduated from Lusk High School in 1952. He had lived with his parents and worked on the ranch until he went to Greeley State College in Greeley, Colo., where he graduated with a music major. He enlisted in the Army and spent two years near Atlanta, Ga., in the U.S. Third Army Band.

He married Julia Winburn and they were the parents of two children, Wendy and Doug.

After discharge from the Army, he taught music and received his Masters degree in Music Education. He then received his life time certificate in Music Education at the University of Athens, Ga.

He was a member of the Tara Acappella Guild of Atlanta. He played in the city band and was director of the Methodist Church choir.

After his retirement he and his wife, Anita, enjoyed developing a beautiful yard and garden around their home.

Father, George Christian, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife Anita and his two children, Doug and Wendy of Fayetteville, Ga., mother, Elsie Christian and sister Georgeanne Law of Colorado Springs, Colo.
