Mrs. Lee Shrum Dies In Denver
Mrs. Lee H. Shrum, a pioneer of the Hat Creek area, died in Denver Sunday morning. She had had several strokes over the past few years.
Funeral services were held at the Moore Mortuary in Denver at 2: p.m. Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Shrum came to Lusk in 1908, homesteading in the Divide community. They made their home there until 1943 when they sold the farm to Mr. and Mrs. Emil Klemke and moved to Denver. They operated a small chicken ranch for several years and about five years ago sold it and made their home with their daughter, Mrs. Percy D. Lewis. Mr. Shrum died about a year ago. Survivors include her daughter; four sons, Troy of Fremont, Calif.; Glen of Cheyenne, Howard of Wyola, Mont. and E. Lee of Pincher Creek, Alberta, Canada; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
