Memorial services were Friday, July 3 for Shawn Dona Dooley Showers, 28, at Peet Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Nick Natelli officiating. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery. She died June 30, 1987 in Lusk.
She was born Dec. 18, 1958 in Grass Valley, CA, the daughter of Don and Frances (Sloan) Dooley. The family moved to Riverton, where she attended grade school. She attended high school in Newcastle. She married Dean Showers in Custer SD on June 16, 1974. This marriage ended in divorce on May 8, 1980. She lived in Gillette until 1979, when she moved to Lusk.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1984 and an infant sister in 1955.
She is survived by her mother and step-father, Frances and Jim Baker of Lusk; a daughter, Dena Showers of Lusk; two brothers, Patrick Dooley of Powell and Joshua Dooley of Lusk; a fiancé, Ralph Miller of Rawlins and her ex-husband, Dean Showers of Tucson, AZ.
