Mary Elizabeth Sharp
Funeral for Mrs. Sharp, long-time Manville Resident
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Sharp, 80, Manville, died March 16 at Casper. Funeral services were conducted from the Peet Mortuary in Lusk Saturday at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Boutwell of Lusk officiating. Burial was in the Manville Cemetery.
Mrs. J. P. Watson, organist, accompanied Russell Olmsted as he sang "Rock of Ages" and the "Old Rugged Cross."
Casket bearers were Dick Ladwig, Elbert Heine, A. C. Frye, Bill Welch, Fred Sheaman and Enos Lee.
She was born to Peter and Mary Davin December 5, 1890, at Manville. Her entire life was spent in the Manville and Lance Creek area. In 1911 she filed on a homestead northwest of Manville. On July 22, 1920, she married George W. Sharp at Douglas. After their marriage they made their home on a ranch near Lance Creek. She moved to Manville in 1934 after the death of her husband and resided there until the time of her death.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Edenfield of Casper; a sister, Mrs. Dave Bryant of Manville; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
