Ethel May Seegrist

Service for Mrs. Seegrist, Long-Time Resident

Funeral service for Mrs. Ethel Seegrist, 73, was held April 11 at the Peet Chapel with the Rev. Robert Boutwell conducting the service. Mrs. Seegrist died April 8.

Tim Johnson, soloist, sang "In the Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross" accompanied by Mrs. J.P. Watson at the organ.

Casket bearers were Rex Shoults, Julian Phipps, Bob Fancher, Jim Peterson, Warren Robertson and Bill Immesoete. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Ethel May Turner was born to John and Jane Rickett Turner at Hale, Mo., December 2, 1899. December 4, 1917, she married Winfred Seegrist at Hale and after their marriage they moved to Van Tassell where they lived until they retired and moved to Lusk. Mr. Seegrist died in 1954.

Her parents and one daughter, Alice May Seegrist, died previously. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Hammond of Lusk and Dorothy O. Berg of Julesburg, Colo.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one sister, Elsie West, and one brother, Lee Turner, both of Van Tassell.
