Charley Milnes Scott
Services for Charley Milnes Scott, 83, of Lusk were held Thursday, April 7, 1988, at the Peet Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Scott Grimshaw officiated. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.
Mr. Scott died April 4 at the Niobrara County Nursing Home following a short illness.
He was born August 6, 1904 at Page, NE, the son of John M. and Alice Pollard Scott. The family came west in 1916 and homesteaded in the Red Cloud area south of Jay Em. He married Mildred Kuskie on July 7, 1940. They resided in the Lusk area. He worked for the Wyoming Highway Department until 1951 and then worked for Midwest Gas and Cal-Gas until he retired in 1972.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters, and seven brothers.
Survivors include one son, Jerry, and one daughter, Janice Scott, both of Lusk; one sister, Lennie Waggoner of Jay Em; six grandchildren, Chuck, Chris, Mandy, Kristi, Roni, and Brenden; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
For those who wish, memorials to the Niobrara County Nursing Home would be appreciated by the family.
