Edward Rohwer Takes Own Life
Edward Rohwer, 75, took his own life at his ranch home east of Harrison sometime between last Wednesday evening and Friday evening. His invalid brother, Victor George Rohwer, had died only July 28.
A nephew, Clarence Schnurr of Harrison, had visited him on Wednesday and returned for another visit Friday evening only to find the body hanging in the basement. Time of death was not definitely determined.
County Attorney and coroner W. E. Mumby, Sheriff Tom Broderick, and attorney John Skavdahl made the investigation.
Funeral services were held at the United Memorial Methodist Church Monday afternoon.

Edward Rohwer Resident 75 Years
Edward Eggert Rohwer, the eldest son of Sioux County pioneers, Eggert and Maria Schwartz Rohwer, was born at Harrison, Nebraska on September 1, 1893 and passed away at his home near Harrison August 14, 1969 at the age of 75 years, 11 months and 13 days.
He attended the grammar school in Harrison and graduated from Harrison High School in 1910.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Florence M. Rohwer, Elsie M. Schnurr and Edna H. Wertz and by his brother Victor George Rohwer.
He is survived by his nephews William Eggert Schnurr of Alliance, Nebraska and Clarence Albert Schnurr of Harrison.
