Walter Wayne Rodgers Passes Away
Walter Wayne Rodgers, grandson of Laura Dixon, passed away June 28, 1989 at the ranch belonging to his grandparents near Douglas. Private services will be held at a later date and the remains scattered on the Whitaker ranch.
Walter Wayne "Skip" Rodgers was born July 26, 1960 in Casper, the son of Jess and Eleanor (Whitaker) Rodgers. He was reared and educated there.
Following graduation, he served in the U. S. Navy from 1980 thru 1984, being stationed in San Diego, Calif. He served on the USS Enterprise in aircraft maintenance. Following his discharge, he worked in construction with his brother, David, at Rawlins. Later he moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he was manager of a convenience store.
Skip was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Casper. He loved the outdoors, fishing and camping, especially on his grandparent's ranch.
