John Robinson Dies Wednesday

John Andrew Robinson, 74, of Lusk died last Wednesday at the Veterans Hospital in Cheyenne. Funeral services were conducted from the Peet Mortuary in Lusk Saturday afternoon with the Rev. Fred Bolinger, pastor of the First Baptist Church officiating. Military honors by the American Legion were held at the graveside.

Mr. J. P. Watson was organist and accompanied Mrs. Dean Glandt and Mrs. A. F. DeCastro as they sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond The Sunset."

Casket bearers were C. E. Marvin, Fred Hansen, Clifford Terrill, Marshall Deimer, Clarence Mason and Charlie Scott.

Mr. Robinson was born January 1, 1895 at Prescott, Ariz., to Jessie Lee and John Robinson. His early life was spent in the Prescott area. As a young man he worked on various ranches near Cortez, Colo. He served in the army during World War I. Shortly after his discharge he moved to Wyoming where he lived for 49 years.

He married Beatrice Helen Roby at Lusk, August 19, 1924. He was employed by the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad for 36 years and retired in 1960. He was a member of Weiten-Dupes Post No. 1 American Legion.

Survivors include his widow, Beatrice Helen; one son, John Edward of Denver; one daughter, Virginia Lee Staggs of Los Angeles; two grandchildren John Drew Robinson of Denver and Laura Dee Staggs of Los Angeles.
