Thomas Charles Rasmussen
Services were conducted for Thomas Charles Rasmussen, 69, March 20, 1995 at the Converse County Funeral Chapel in Douglas, Wyoming. Pastor John Owens of the Glenrock Christian Church officiated. Interment was made in the Douglas Park Cemetery.
Mr. Rasmussen died March 15, 1995 at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. He was born May 12, 1925 in Douglas. He grew up and received his education in the Wendover, Wyoming area in Guernsey and graduated from high school in 1943.
On May 10, 1943, he enlisted in the U. S. Navy and was discharged March 31, 1946.
He married Iris JoAnn Lee, daughter of Elizabeth Lamb Lee and the late Charles V. Lee, Sr. of Lance Creek on September 7, 1952. He worked at the Dave Johnston Power Plant in Glenrock for 28 years and moved to Douglas to spend his retirement years. He was a member of the Glenrock Masonic Lodge #22, AF & AM; Shriners Consistory; Order of Eastern Star #37 and the Samuel Mares American Legion Post #8.
Survivors include his wife; three children-Niels Rasmussen of Glenrock, Tom E. Rasmussen of Casper and Karyl A. Rasmussen of Princeton, N.J. and two grandchildren.
His parents preceded him in death.
Memorials to the Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital in Salt Lake or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
