Mrs. Pugsley Dies From Gun Wound Monday

Mrs. Archie Pugsley, 61, of Jay Em died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Monday afternoon. Funeral services will be held from the Peet Chapel in Lusk at 2:00 p.m. Friday with burial in Jay Em.

Goshen County Coroner Lewis Colyer said Mrs. Pugsley apparently took her own life with a .22 caliber rifle near their farm house about 3:00 p.m. Monday. She was found by her husband about 6:00 p.m.

Mrs. Pugsley was born in Reamsville, Kan. to Millard and Rosa Pumroy Gheen July 14, 1900

Services for Mrs. Pugsley Held in Lusk Friday

Funeral services for Mrs. Archie Pugsley of Jay Em were held at the Peet Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Friday with Richard Scott Pastor of the Jay Em Chapel in charge.

Mrs. J. P. Watson, organist, accompanied Mrs. Emerson Bonner and Mr. A. F. DeCastro as they sang "Rock of Ages" and "Love Divine." Pallbearers were Lee Pugsley, Paul Pugsley, Loris Gheen, Dale Gheen, Charles Bass and Richard Barnette. Burial was in the Jay Em Cemetery.

Margaret Gheen was born July 14, 1900 at Reamsville, Kan. the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Millard Gheen. She attended the Wehe school near Reamsville and the Church of the United Brethren at Ashgrove, Kan.

She married Archie Pugsley in June 1947 and came to Wyoming.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Valgean Farrell of Lander; two sons, Ivan Farrell of Torrington and Elton Farrell of Guernsey; her father, Millard Gheen of Torrington; two sisters, Mrs. Aimie Gorman of Carson City, Nev. and Mrs. Forest Cameron of Smith Center, Kans.; three brothers; Thomas Gheen of Fort Laramie, Glen Gheen of Anaheim, Calif., Clarence Gheen of Sidney, Nebr.; and three grandchildren.
