Funeral for William Pfister Held Thursday

Funeral services were held for William Pfister, 77, of Billings, Mont., last Thursday at 2:00 p.m. from the Peet Chapel in Lusk. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

The Dr. L. G. Gordon of Collingswood, N. Jersey officiated. Music was provided by Bill and Bob Huey as they sang "Lead Kindly Light" and "I Know My Redeemer Liveth." They were accompanied by Mrs. Dale M. Bardo on the organ.

Pallbearers were: James Pfister, Jack Pfister, Henry Wasserburger, Jr., Bob McGee, Bob Huey, Bill Huey, Charles Pfister and James Barrett.

William Pfister was born at Node, December 4, 1888, to John and Ella Arnold Pfister. He grew to manhood at Node and became associated in ranching with his father and brothers.

July 17, 1937, he married Louise Huey of Manhattan, Kansas. They resided on the home ranch southeast of Lusk until 1939, moving to Billings, Mont. where he was engaged in ranching.

Mr. Pfister retired from ranching in 1954 and he and Mrs. Pfister spent much time traveling around the United States. They had a house on their ranch and were residing there at the time of his death.

They have one daughter, Ellen Louise Pfister, who is practicing law in Jackson, Miss.

Survivors include his widow and daughter are three brothers, Richard, Edgemont, Valentine of Crawford, and Edwin of Hat Creek; three sisters, Anne Wasserburger, Hat Creek; Jane Joy, Kaycee, Wyo., and Frances Anderson, Long Beach, Calif. and numerous nieces and nephews.
