Former Lusk Resident, Mrs. Pearl Galbreath, Dies in Crawford, Nebr.; Burial Made in Cemetery at Crawford
Funeral services were held for the late Mrs. Pearl Galbreath, former Lusk resident, on Tuesday afternoon, of last week from the Houston Funeral Home in Crawford, Nebr. Rev. H. C. Johnson, of the Methodist church Crawford, officiated. Mrs. Galbreath succumbed to a lingering illness, Saturday, July 21st, at the Community Memorial hospital in Crawford. She had attained the age of 80 years, four months and 13 days.
Interment was in the Crawford Cemetery.
Pearl Otis, youngest daughter of Francis J. and Catherine (Western) Otis was born in Union County, Iowa on March 8, 1876, where she grew to womanhood.
On May 28, 1893, she was united in marriage to Fred L Galbreath at Creston, Iowa. They became the parents of five children, one daughter passing away in infancy, and another daughter, Mrs. Winnie Buckholz, died at Dubois, Wyo., in 1949. Mr. and Mrs. Galbreath resided in Iowa until the spring of 1899, when they moved to Wyoming settling on a homestead near Lusk. In 1916, they moved to Crawford and resided on a farm about four miles north of Crawford.
Mr. Galbreath passed away in June 1943. In the fall of 1945, Mrs. Galbreath purchased a home in Crawford, but due to failing health, she had been a patient at the McDerby Rest Home in that city for the past three years.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Clyde Zimmerman of Sheridan, Wyo., two sons, Lee and Earl Galbreath, both of Crawford, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and numerous other relatives.
