Edgar Leroy Owens Dies in Lusk After Lingering Sickness
Following a period of illness lasting more than four months, little Edgar Leroy Owens, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Owens of south of Lusk, passed away at the home of his aunt, Mrs. Otto Klemke of this city last Friday morning, July 10th, at the age of 2 years, 11 months and 4 days.
The little tot had been a victim of scarlet fever a year ago and the effects of that sickness had never been overcome. Four months ago he was taken ill with a severe sore throat, which developed into a heart trouble and dropsy. He had been bed-ridden practically all of the time since being stricken.
Funeral services under direction of the Midwest mortuary were held from St. Leo's Catholic Church at 10 o'clock Saturday morning, July 11th, interment being made in Lusk cemetery.
The deceased is survived by his parents, two sisters, Louise and Edna, and two brothers, John and Peter. The many friends of the family extend sincerest sympathy to those who so deeply feel this loss.
