Alexander "Art" Clyde Orr
Orr Graveside Service Mon.
The Rev. Frank Blish of the First Congregational Church of Lusk presided at the graveside service at the Lusk Cemetery Monday afternoon, Aug. 21, for Alexander (Art) Clyde Orr, 86, who died at Basin, Wyo., on August 18.
Mr. Orr, or Art as he was known by many in this county, was born on November 2, 1891, in Vanango County, Pa. He was married to Florence Fox in June 1910. The couple lived in Colorado and Wyoming where Art was employed in the oil fields over 50 years. Mr. Orr was superintendent for A. B. Cobb at Lance Creek at the time of retirement in 1963. He lived in Lusk and Thermopolis before going to Basin.
He is survived by four sons: Dewain of Powell, Paul of Denver, Jerry of Casper and Clarence of Hinsdale, Ill., and one daughter, Helen Rogers of Ft. Collins, Colo.; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1961.
Bearing the remains to the final resting place were Elmer Nelson, Ab DeCastro, Arch Liberty, Robert Templeton, Joe Vaughan and Bill Smith.
