Carl Martin Norberg 79, of Lusk passed away at his home Monday, October 5, 1987.

He was born March 27, 1908 in Franklin NE. to Andrew and Stella (Smith) Norberg.

He moved to the Black Hills at age 2 with his parents who homesteaded near Pringle, SD. He was educated in the Pringle School system.

He worked for more than 20 years at Black Hills Lime Co. and several years in Spar mining, ranching and uranium mining before moving to Gillette in 1962, where he worked in the oil field. In 1971 he moved to Hanna to work in the coal mines and in 1981 he moved to Lusk.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

He is survived by his wife of Lusk; one daughter, Chris of Lusk; two sons, Lee of Cedar Parks, TX; and Joel of Gillette; two grandsons, Rory of Lusk and Cody of Cedar Parks, TX; several nieces and one nephew.

The family would appreciate memorials to the Niobrara Senior Center.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, Oct. 10 at Pringle, SD.
