Herman Newcomb
Herman Newcomb of Limon, Colo. died Sept. 19, 1983 at the age of 66 at his home after a long illness.
Interment was in the Pershing Memorial Cemetery in Limon, Colo.
He was born May 24, 1917 at Otis, Colo. as the eldest son of Clyde and Mary Newcomb.
He served for two years in the armed services in World War II as a member of the Army Engineering Corps in the Pacific area.
He was married to Helen Shimek April 3, 1949 at Lusk. Five children were born to this union.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother. He is survived by his wife Helen; his children, Marianne Johnson and Martin Newcomb of Limon; Ramona Hanson of Olney Springs, Colo., Mike of San Francisco, Calif.; Morris of Orville, Wash. and six grandchildren; his mother, Mary Newcomb, brothers and sisters, Velma Brinkerhoff and Andy Newcomb of Lusk; Carl Newcomb of Mokena, Ill.; Dean of John Day, Ore.; Albert of Omak, Wash.; Earl of Newcastle, Colo.; Irene Urie of Twin Falls, Idaho and Alice Cole of Casper, many nieces and nephews and friends.
Love Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
