Hattie Freeman Dies in Idaho

Mrs. Hattie Anetta Freeman, 89, died April 17, at a hospital in Ontario, Idaho. She was the mother of Ray Freeman of Lusk.

Funeral services were conducted there April 20 from the New Plymouth Shaffer-Jensen Memorial Chapel. Burial was at the Parkview Cemetery

She was born November 12, 1881, in Iowa to Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Potter. She grew to womanhood in Bonesteel, S.D. In 1901 at Fairfax, Neb. she married Earl Freeman. They made their home for several years at Bonesteel and in 1910 moved with their family to Niobrara County where they homesteaded.

In 1939 she and her husband moved to Grants Pass, Oregon, residing there until 1948 when they moved to New Plymouth where she had since resided. Mr. Freeman died in 1955.

She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints and the Veteran of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

Survivors include her son, Ray of Lusk, two daughters, Mrs. Clara Spurling, New Plymouth, Mrs. Walter Hoge, Torrington, Wyo., two sisters , Mrs. Evelyn Dummer, Bonesteel; Mrs. Cora Dummer, Scotland, S.D.; one brother, William Potter, Norfolk, Neb.; nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
