Jesse McKibben Dies at Douglas

Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Quintard, Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Wasserburger, Harry and Martin Wasserburger, Harrison and Herbert and Vince Wasserburger, Ardmore, attended the funeral service for Jesse McKibben, 64, Saturday morning at St. James Catholic Church in Douglas, Wyo.

Father Sean Farren officiated. Burial was in Douglas Park Cemetery. Mr. McKibben, a rancher, died Wednesday noon at the Douglas Livestock Exchange of a heart attack.

Born January 15, 1908, in Ohio, he came to Wyoming in 1911 with his parents, attending school at Lost Springs and Shawnee, Wyo.

He married Florence Hagen, daughter of the late John and Anna Wasserburger Hagen, former residents of the Orella and Harrison areas, at Midwest, Wyo., in 1931. Two children, Kenneth Roy and Patricia Ann were born to them.

Survivors include his wife Florence, Son Kenneth Roy, Douglas, and Patricia Ann Meier of Meeteetse, Wyo., sisters Faye Beck, Douglas, and Harriett Lester of Denver, four granddaughters, one grandson and one great-granddaughter.
