Grant Hitshew Is Called By Death; Funeral Tuesday

Once more the call has come and another citizen is taken, Ulyssis Grant Hitshew, who was born in March, 1867 in Cumberland, County, Tennessee, died at St. Anthony's hospital in Denver, Colo., Saturday, Sept. 25th 1926, being at his passing, 69 years and six months of age.

Mr.Hitshew moved with his parents in 1881 to Laramie County, Wyo., settling 27 miles west of Cheyenne, where the family resided for six years. At the end of this period they moved to Lance Creek. After residing there for about 12 Years, Mr. Hitshew removed to Glendive, Mont. where he engaged in the blacksmith business. In 1918 he returned to Niobrara county and had been in poor health most of the time from then until he passed away, suffering from kidney complaint during the past four years.

The deceased leaves to mourn his departure, two brothers, W.S. Hitshew of Lusk, George Hitshew of Manville, a half brother, James, of Kansas City, Mo., and one sister, Emma Keithley of Lusk four sisters and two brothers having preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Methodist church in Manville with Rev. H.H. Koontz of Lusk Officiating. Interment was made in the Manville cemetery. Albert Manorgan and Carl Baughn of Manville had charge of funeral directions.

The following friends served as pall bearers; W.S. Pinkerton, Fred Howard, W.S. Baughn and Ezra Shippen all of Manville and John T. Mills and J.C. Thurston of Lost Springs.
