Last Rites for Charles Aufdengarten held Saturday Afternoon in Manville; Interment Made in Manville Cemetery

The remains of the late Charles F. Aufdengarten, of Cody, Wy. were brought to Manville where the last rites were held at 2:00 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the Manville Community church with Rev. Edward D. Poser conducting the services. Enriching the rites was the singing of "In the Garden" and "Does Jesus Care" by Mesdames Beryl Fullerton, Leo Alexander, Floyd Alexander and Miss Della Mae Fullerton. Mrs. Edward D. Poser was the accompanist.

Burial was made in the family plot in the Dell View cemetery at Manville with the deceased's nephews Leo Alvin, Floyd and Oscar Alexander, Floyd Bartos and a great nephew, Dannie Alexander, all of Manville bearing the remains to their last resting place.

The Peet Mortuary was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Charles Frederick Aufdengarten, son of Bernard and Lottie Aufdengarten was born July 23,1889 in Arthur county, Nebraska and departed this life on July 12,1954 at the age of 64 years, 11months and 21 days. He passed away at the hospital in Cody, Wy., death resulting from a heart ailment.

He grew to manhood on the Nebraska ranch where he was born and was a member of the Baptist church on August 10, 1915 he was married to Pearl Valentine and to this union was born two sons, Lawrence Bernard of San Diego, Calif. and Otto Wesley of Sidney Nebraska.

In 1921, he moved with his family to the 4-J Ranch north of Sunrise Wy. where he resided until 1939. Since that time he has been employed by the Ohio Oil company at Cody, Wy. The latter city being his home until the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Angeline. He leaves to mourn his passing his immediate family, also one sister, Lottie Goebal of Cedaredge Colo., two brothers Herman of Ogallala, Neb. and George of Hartville Wy., and a host of relatives and friends.

Out of town relatives here for the services were Mr. and Mrs. Otto Aufdengarten, Sidney Nebraska; Mrs. Roger Eaton, Glendive Montana; Mr. and Mrs. George Aufdengarten, Hartville, Wy., Mr. and Mrs. Herman Aufdengarten, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Aufdengarten, Mrs. Angie Lanko; Mr. and Mrs. Clarance Triska, Mr. and Mrs. Haney all from Nebraska.

Funeral Services Held for Charles Aufdengarten

Funeral services were held at the Manville Community Church in Manville, at 2:00 p.m., Saturday for Charles Frederick Aufdengarten, 64, who died in a Cody, Wyoming, hospital July 12, from a heart ailment.

The Reverend Edward Poser of Manville conducted the services in the Manville Community Church. a quartet, consisting of Mrs. Beryl Fullerton, Miss Della Mae Fullerton, Mrs. Leo Alexandr, and Mrs. Floyd Alexander, sang "In the Garden" and "Does Jesus Care," accompanied by Mrs. Edward Poser at the piano.

Pallbearers for their uncle's funeral were Leo, Alvin, Floyd, and Oscare Alexander, Floyd Bartos, and Dannie Alexander, a grand nephew. Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Peet Mortuary of Lusk.
