Allen Leeling
Funeral services for Allen Leeling, 64, were held Thursday, October 27, 1988 at Peet's Mortuary Chapel in Lusk, Wyoming. Officiating was Rev. Gary Burdick. Interment was at Dellview Cemetery in Manville, Wyoming.
Allen Leeling was born August 9, 1924 at Harrison, Nebraska, the son of Herman and Cora Swope Leeling. He died October 24, 1988 at the West Nebraska General Hospital in Scottsbluff.
Allen grew up in the Kirtley Community, graduating from Lusk High School in 1943. On July 24, 1943 he was married to Doris Louise Younkin.
He had been employed by Continental Oil Co. and Continental Pipeline. For ten years he owned and operated Allen's Conoco in Manville. He also worked for Ira Lamb at Wyo. Gas Co. and Petrolane for many years. He was employed at Niobrara Memorial Hospital from 1976 until his retirement in 1984.
Allen's interests included fishing, hunting, farming and livestock. He had built his own home in Manville.
He is survived by his wife Doris of Manville, two sons Edward of Scottsbluff and David of Gering; his mother Mrs. Cora Leeling of Manville; three brothers: Leonard of Chadron, Warren of Scottsbluff, and Herman of Wallace, Idaho; three sisters: Cleo Peterson of Harrison, Edna Outhouse of Lusk, and Margaret Heine of Manville; and 4 grandsons: Nicholas, Troy, Matthew and Andrew.
