Royal G. Langley

Royal Glenn Langely, 89, was born Jan. 27, 1894 at Luray, Kan., the son of Hosea and Anna Marie Langley. He died Nov. 28, 1983 at the Ponderosa Villa in Crawford, Nebr.

He grew up in Kansas, attending schools there and teaching for several years before moving to Wyoming in 1929 to a homestead north of Lusk. He was married to Mabel Rawhouser in 1948 at Cheyenne. They lived on the ranch until 1967 when they moved to Lusk. Mrs. Langley died in 1970. On July 28, 1972 Mr. Langley moved to the Ponderosa Villa in Crawford.

Mr. Langley was a veteran of World War I, serving in the United States Army in France.

He was preceded in death by his wife, one brother, one sister, and one step-daughter, Dorothy McDaniel.

He is survived by two brothers, Carl Langley of Osborn, Kan. and Lloyd Langley, McMinville, Ore., two sisters, Florence, Hesperia, Calif. and Bertha Holcomb of Troy, Kan. and one step-son, Charles Rawhouser of Crawford, Nebr.

Services were held at Peet Mortuary Chapel in Lusk Dec. 2, 1883 with Rev. Roy Howell officiating.

Music was provided by Minerva Watson, organist, and Joy Kaltenheuser who sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In the Garden."

Pallbearers were Hollis Jones, James Meng, Horace Graham, J. D. Wasserburger, James Wasserburger and Steve Peterson.

Interment was in Lusk Cemetery.

Memorial may be made to Ponderosa Villa Nursing Home at Crawford, Nebr.

Arrangements were by Peet Mortuary.
