Jay K. Lacy, 78, Dies August 3
Jay K. Lacy, 78, former Sioux County and Kimball resident died August 3 at Phoenix, Ariz.
He grew to manhood in Sioux County and married Anna Elizabeth Staudenmaier in 1917. They made their home on various farms before moving to Kimball in 1939 and managed a motel until 1950 when they moved to Boise, Idaho.
His wife died in 1956. He returned to Kimball to live. He was with his son and family in Phoenix at the time of his death.
Survivors are a daughter, Edna Mae Taylor of Nampa, Idaho; son Patrick of Phoenix; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Rosary was held August 7 at 7:30 at the Allen Funeral Home in Kimball and the funeral mass was at 10 a.m. August 8 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial was in the Kimball Cemetery beside his wife.
Attending the funeral from Harrison were Mrs. Josephine Staudenmaier, Charles Jr. and George, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Staudenmaier, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Staudenmaier and Justin, Anna Oldaker, Francis Bourret, Tom Doyle, Mary Jordan, Mrs. Emma Grote, Melvin Grote and Elaine Rabe.
