Warren Harding Letchworth
Services were held Feb. 12, 1991, for Warren Harding Letchworth at the Chapel of the Henry Mortuary in Lander by Rev. Richard Eaton. Military graveside rites were conducted and burial was in the cemetery at Hudson, Wyo. Letchworth, who was a former Lusk and Lance Creek resident, died at his home Feb. 7.
He was born March 7, 1921, in Selmer, Tenn., to Thomas Newton and Annie (Degraw) Letchworth. He served in World War II as a private first class during 1940-1945, having overseas duty in the Pacific. He was a member of the Odd Fellows, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He later ranched and was a saddlemaker.
He is survived by sons Buddy and Gary Letchworth; four daughters, Wanda Anne Gropp, "Punk" Stoddard of Douglas, Megan Letchworth and Amelia Letchworth, both of New York City; three brothers, William and Gene; two sisters, Elsie Carroll and Vina Carson and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Everett.
