Mamie C. Klitzke
Mamie C. Klitzke 82, of Kenosha, Wis. Died December 5, 1998 at Kenosha Hospital and Medical Center.
Born May 31, 1916 in Lusk, Wyo., she was the daughter of the late John O. and Carolyn (Geike) Burke. She attended public schools in Lusk.
On August 8, 1936, she married William O. Klitzke. He died in 1977. She came to Kenosha in 1937.
A cook in the Food Services Department at Carthage College for seven years, retiring in 1982. Previously, she worked for 21 years as a sales clerk at Ritters Bakery.
A member of the Women of the Moose, she also belonged to the Senior Citizens Center. She was an avid card player and enjoyed league bowling.
Surviving are two daughters, Doris Hansen and Carol Schlevensky, both of Kenosha; two brothers, John Burke of Lusk and Donald Burke of Casper, Wyo.; a sister, Edna Freeman of Lusk, six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin "Red" Burke and Clarence Burke, and two sisters, Blanche Wise and Nellie Wilkison.
