Service for Mrs. Otto Klemke Was Being Held

Funeral service was being held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Peet Chapel for Mrs. Otto (Ruth) Klemke, 72, who died Sunday following a long illness.

The Rev. Beauferd Anderson was conducting the service and Mrs. Sigmund Hahn was organist. "I Know My Redeemer Lives" and "Asleep in Jesus" were being sung by Judy Hahn, Lil Stoldt, Susan Hahn, Debbie Akers, Nancy Lange, Robert Doctor and Robert Lange.

Casket bearers were to be Joe O'Brien, Henry Klemke, Joe Klemke, Helmuth Klemke, Albert Klemke and Ronald Klemke. Burial was to be in the Lusk Cemetery.

Ruth Ora Howard was born to John A. Howard and Jennie Wamsley Howard July 5, 1902, at Galena, Kan.

When she was six months old the family moved to Fremont, Neb., and when she was eight they moved to David City, Neb. She received her education in Fremont and at St. Mary's Academy.

In June 1922 she married John J. Quinn and one son, Gerald, was born to the couple. They lived in Lance Creek and Salt Creek until 1929 when they purchased a farm at Burwell, Neb., where they lived until Mr. Quinn died.

In 1952 she married Otto Klemke of Lusk.

Mrs. Klemke was a member of the Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband Otto and son Gerald of Burwell; one sister Hazel Weymouth, Lusk; one brother Gerald Howard, Fremont, Neb.; two step-daughters Viola McCullough, Cheyenne and Geraldine Macklay, Charleston, W. V.; two step-sons Kenneth, Chula Vista, Calif.; and Otto, Jr., Cheyenne; thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
