Hubert Keller Dies of Heart Attack at Oswego, Ore., Mon.

Sorrowing news came to Arthur Keller of this city Monday evening when he was notified from Oswego Ore., that his only brother, Hubert, 51, had been stricken with a sudden heart attack shortly before 9 p.m., that evening. A second message a few hours later brought word that Hubert had succumbed to the attack at 11:30 o'clock that night.

The brother here was taken to Cheyenne by his wife, Donna, early Tuesday morning where he entrained for Oswego. Mrs. Keller returned to Lusk that evening.

Funeral services, it is understood, are planned for Friday afternoon, June 25th at Oswego, where the deceased and his wife have resided for about seven years. Interment will be in the cemetery of that city.

Hubert was the elder son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Keller, long-time residents of this locality, was reared here and educated in the local schools, being a graduate of the Lusk High School. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II as a rifle instructor, after which he returned to Lusk with his bride, Pauline. The couple operated a cafe here for about a year and then moved to Oregon, where Hubert served as city patrolman for several years.

About two years ago, the deceased came back to Lusk, and for several months was employed by the city, serving on the street department, but again returned to Oswego. Since that time he had been employed with a construction company, it is understood.

According to information contained in the message, the victim and his wife had been enjoying an evening ride in the family car and had returned home. Hubert was sitting in the livingroom reading a newspaper when stricken.

Hubert Keller Dies In Oregon Monday

Arthur Keller of Lusk was notified Monday night of the death of his brother, Hubert Keller of West Linn, Oreg., who served many years on the Lusk Volunteer Fire Department.

Mr. Keller, 51 years old, suffered a heart attack at his home in West Linn Monday at 8 p.m. and died three and one half hours later in a Portland hospital. Funeral services and burial will be in Oswego, Oreg. Friday. Mrs. Arthur Keller took her husband to Cheyenne Tuesday morning and from there he took the train to Oregon.

Hubert Keller graduated from Lusk High School. After serving with the Fire Department in Lusk for many years he entered the U. S. Air Force during World War II.

Survivors include: his wife Pauline of West Linn, a brother Arthur Keller of Lusk, and three cousins, Mrs. Gay Simon and Lawrence Doman both of Lusk and Ray Doman of Casper.

Note: The calendar days for 1955 do not correspond with the dates in these articles. However, the Oregon Death Index lists William H. Keller's death date as June 21, 1955, in Multnomah County, with spouse Pauline. Also, dates in this database correspond with the dates on the military gravestone.
