H. C. Johnson Dies in Casper
Henry C. Johnson, 69, of Casper and formerly of Lusk, died Saturday afternoon at the Memorial Hospital in Casper, following a brief illness. He had a furniture repair shop at his home in Lusk before moving to Casper.
Funeral services were conducted at the Horstman Chapel at 3:30 p.m. Monday, with the Rev. Donald E. Wilsie of the United Pentecostal Church officiating. His remains were taken to Canton, S.D. for services and burial.
Mr. Johnson was born at Parker, S.D. September 1, 1893. He and Geraldine Perlick were married June 3, 1928, at Chadron. The family made their home at Lusk, where he worked as an upholsterer until his retirement, moving to Casper in June 1962.
He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the American Legion Post at Lusk and the Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church of Parker, S.D.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, and a daughter, Beverly at the family home; four sons, James and Ronald of Casper, Donald of Lusk, and Wayne of Canton, S.D.; two brothers, Joe and Thomas Johnson, both of Hurley. S.D.; three sisters, Mrs. Rachel Brue and Mrs. Chester Nelson, both of Centerville, S.D. and Mrs. Joe Jensen of Parker, S.D. and six grandchildren.
