Marvin William (Bud) Jensen

Marvin William (Bud) Jensen was born May 30, 1916 at the family homestead five and one half miles east of Hat Creek, the son of Jens Peter and Anna Georgina Jensen. He died December 26, 1983 at the family home. Marvin was known best by his family and friends as Bud.

Bud attended the Hat Creek School four miles from home during his grade school years.

The only time Bud worked away from the family ranch was a brief period at the Seminole Dam. He was an official government weather reporter for 18 years.

On April 13, 1940, he was married to Betty Allbright at Harrison, Nebr.

He was preceded in death by his wife Betty, his parents, seven brothers, and two sisters.

Survivors include one brother, Elmer Jensen of Cody; two sisters, Anna Jensen of Keeline and Edith Rosas of San Jose, Calif.; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and nephews and several great-great-nieces and nephews.

Services were conducted at Peet Mortuary Chapel in Lusk Dec. 29, with the Rev. Clayton Crosby officiating. Music was provided by organist, Elizabeth Craske and soloist Liz Henderson, who sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Church in the Wildwood."

Pallbearers were Riley Ross, Cody Thompson, Roy Sharp, Ben Mosier, Richard Brott and Terry Larson. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Klemke, Noal Larson, Malter Larson, Ed Cook, Russ Thompson, Robert Vollmer, Howell Bryant and John Goddard.

Interment was at Lusk Cemetery.

Arrangements were by Peet Mortuary.
