LeRoy Jensen, 27, Dies Suddenly

LeRoy Emmett Jensen, 27, of Hat Creek passed away at the Spencer Hospital, Wednesday evening, March 19, having undergone major surgery the previous Monday.

The deceased is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Jensen and resided with his parents on their ranch in the Hat Creek Community.

He was born December 19, 1919. Three brothers have preceded him in death, one brother. Arthur Jensen passing away last year at his home in Columbia, Mo.

Funeral services were held from the Peet Chapel on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Lawrence P. Jewell, Pastor of the Congregational church officiating.

The Misses Dorothy Humphrey and Phyllis Owens sand "In the Garden", "Going Down the Valley," and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," accompanied by Mrs. J. P. Watson at the instrument.

The casket bearers were Edmund Cook, Del Sherman, Fred Bryant, Joe Klemke, Bob Vollmer, and Max Heth. Interment was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Surviving the deceased are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Jensen; four sisters, Anna Jensen of Keeline, Wyo., Mrs. Robert Beesley of Denver, Colo., Mrs. W. N. Reed of Yakima, Wash., and Mrs. Harry Lorenzen of Lusk; and five brothers, Albert Jensen of Scenic, S. D., Joseph Jensen of Honesdale, Pa., Elmer Jensen of Thermopolis, Wyo., Earl of Lusk and Marvin of Hat Creek.

Relatives from out of town here for the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Robert Beesley and son Jimmy of Denver; Mrs. W. N. Reed and son Keith of Yakima, Wash., Albert Jensen and sons Morris and Jimmy of Scenic, So. Dak., Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Jensen of Thermopolis and Albert Jensen of Honesdale, Pa. who came to Cheyenne by plane, where Mrs. Harry Lorenzen met him.
