Funeral services for former Lusk resident Maurice Lowell James were held July 29, 2003, in Parker, Colo. Burial was in Sidney, Neb. Maurice James died July 25, 2003, in Denver, Colo.
He was born Nov. 8, 1929 in Kanorado, Kan. He married Virginia Lee DeVier on Dec. 14, 1952. She died in 1988. He then married Patricia Foster on Nov. 14, 1988 in the Fiji Islands.
He was an entrepreneur; he enjoyed golf and his family.
He is survived by his wife Patricia of Littleton, Colo.; seven children and their spouses, Chris and Joni Rippee of Vallejo, Calif., Jeffrey James of Fort Collins, Colo. Jerry and Katy James of Bellingham, Wash, Brent and Tracy Barrett of Fort Collins, Andy and Jill Durot of Littleton, and Chad and Amber Anema of Littleton; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
