Mary Jordan
Funeral Services for Mary Jordan, age 89 of Harrison, were held Wednesday, February 15 at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Nativity in Harrison.
Mary was born September 2, 1905, in a log cabin on west Hat Creek in Sioux County. She was the second child of Thomas and Mary Doyle.
Mary graduated from Sioux County High School. She married Allen Jordan on November 11, 1926. They lived on their ranch north of Harrison until 1955 when they moved to Harrison.
Mary was active in the Alter Society. She enjoyed bowling and bridge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen, her parents, three brothers, three sisters and one grandson.
Survivors include her daughters Rita DeHaven of Chadron; Shirley Phipps of Glenrock, Wyoming: son, Bob Jordan of Harrison; 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials can be made to Sioux County Rescue Unit at the Security National Bank or to the St. Mary's Cemetery Fund.
