Hugh Bryon Golden
Hugh Byron Golden was born May 16, 1954 in Lusk, to Hugh Burdette Golden and Betty Lou (Erlewine) Golden.
Byron's family moved to Apple Valley, Calif., in 1956 and Byron graduated from Apple Valley High School in 1972. Throughout high school, Byron worked for his father at an Arco station and managed an Arco station after he graduated.
Byron began working for Mission Linen in Victorville, Calif., but he interrupted his career to travel across the country with his, and one other, family. They traveled for six months, going from California to Virginia by mule drawn covered wagon. Byron then worked for Rainbow Bread in Virginia by delivering bread for one year.
Byron returned to Mission Linen and worked for them until his death on June 27, 2006. A memorial service has already taken place.
Byron's first marriage was to Carolyn Anne (Edwards) Wedge from 1975 to 1994. Byron helped raise Carolyn's son, Scott Alan Wedge, and they had two children together; Shelley Marie (Golden) Trombly and Timothy Brian Golden.
Byron is survived by Rhonda, his loving wife of 10 years, of Albuquerque, N.M.; daughter, Shelly of Littlerock, Calif.; son, Tim Golden of Lompoc, Calif., grandchildren, Cody and Mackenzie of Littlerock, Calif.; parents, Hugh and Betty of Torrington; nephew, Jeff Pollock of Fort Laramie; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Byron was preceded in death by his grandparents, Glen and Iris Erlewine, Hugh and Jessie Golden; sister, Barbara Golden Coull; and niece, Karry Pollock.
Per Byron's request, he has been cremated and his ashes will be committed in Victorville, Calif., close to his sister.
