Anna Fisher dies in Torrington
Funeral service for Anna Louise Fisher, 95, Torrington and formerly of the Prairie Center Community was held at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Torrington, Feb. 21, with the Rev. George Schubarth officiating. Burial was in the Valley View Cemetery. Colyer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. A memorial was established to Our Savior Lutheran Church.
Anna Louisa Armburst was born December 19, 1880 at Omaha, Neb., the daughter of John and Louisa Strutman Armburst. She grew up and attended schools in the Omaha area. She married Anton J. Fisher at Omaha, Dec. 21 1889. They moved to Cherry County, Neb. in 1904 and then to a homestead in the Prairie Center Community in 1963. Mrs. Fisher was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, The American Legion Auxiliary, and the Prairie Center Extension Club
Survivors are daughters, Mrs. Clara Heller, Lingle, Mrs. Anna Redifer, Torrington, Mrs. Rose Kenyon, Monterey, Calif. and Mrs. Margaret Morton, Fremont, Neb.; sons Albert Fisher, Ft. Laramie and William Fisher, Hot Springs, S. D.; 17 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter Lillian Hoyt, a son Harry Fisher, 8 brothers and two sisters.
