Roderick LeRoy Johnson

Roderick LeRoy Johnson, age, 77, Sunset, Utah, passed away at his home on Friday, Jan. 13, 2006. A graveside funeral service was to be held on Saturday, January 21, 2006, at 2 p.m. at the Lusk Cemetery with Reverend Vicky Fox, Lusk Congregational Church officiating.

Rod was born to LeRoy and Edna Johnson on February 22, 1928 in Lincoln, Nebraska. In 1955 he married Meredith Ann Eberspecher. Rod and Meredith were married for 48 years.

He served a large portion of his life serving his country. He was a veteran of WWII, the Korean War, and Vietnam. He served three tours of duty in Vietnam and retired from Hill Air Force Base in 1993 as a Master Sergeant.

Rod is survived by his daughters, Rhonda Johnson, Sunset; Tammy Sollars, Billings, Montana; son Jim Frodin, Georgia; four grandchildren, Shannon (Andrei) Grogan-Campana, Brooke (Aaron) Andrews, Danielle Sollars, and Sarah Sollars, one great-grandson, Liam Campana-Grogan, sister, Marge Brazell, California. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews that he thought highly of.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Spank and Don, and his wife, Meredith.

Cicmanec-Pier Funeral Home in Lusk was in charge of local arrangements.
