Ivan W. Fernau

Ivan W. Fernau, 53, died of a heart attack in Boston, Mass. Saturday. Funeral services were held in Lusk Tuesday afternoon.

Mr. Fernau, son of Christina Fernau of Lusk, was born here December 12, 1912 and attended the Lusk Schools. He worked in Lance Creek until World War II when he served with the army in Europe.

The Rev. James Scott of St. George's Episcopal Church officiated at the services Tuesday. Mrs. A. F. DeCastro played "Beyond the Sunset" and "Beautiful Sunset" on the organ.

Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery where military rites were conducted by the American Legion and Wyoming National Guard.

Pallbearers were: John Goddard, C. E. Marvin, P. J. Owens, John Thon, Alfred Taylor, James Barrett.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Lee of Lynwood, Calif. and Dennis of Plymouth, Mass., mother, Mrs. Christina Fernau of Lusk; five brothers, Harry and Walter, Lusk, Dr. Robert L., Riverton. Dale. E., Crawford, George H., Portland, Ore., two sisters, Mrs. Betty F. Morgan, Lusk, Mrs. Bonnie Bartlett, Arvada, Colo.; two granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.

His father, four sisters and two brothers died previously.
