Julius J. Glandt Dies at Torrington; Buried at Jay Em
Julius J. Glandt, 67, brother of Martin Glandt died Monday at the Pioneer Rest Home at Torrington.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. William Borneman, pastor of Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Torrington, at the Colyer Chapel Thursday at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Jay Em Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be nephews of the deceased: Dean Glandt, Darrold Glandt, Richard Ladwig, William Ladwig Jr., Richard Glandt and Ron Glandt.
He was born June 30, 1895, at Battle Creek, Nebr., the son of Katherina Werner and Peter J. Glandt. He came to Jay Em with his parents in 1914 and continued to reside there working on various farms and ranches until he became an invalid and moved to the rest home seven years ago.
He is survived by six brothers; Pete Glandt of Battle Creek, Nebr., William Glandt of Manville, Herman Glandt of Torrington, Martin Glandt of Lusk, Gus Glandt of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Chris Glandt of Scottsbluff.
His father, mother and sister, Mrs. William Ladwig, preceded him in death.
He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.
