Funeral for Edward Geiser Held Dec.

Edward J. Geiser, resident of Niobrara County for the past 32 years, died in the Veterans Hospital in Cheyenne, December 10. Rosary services were held December 11 at 8:00 p.m. and funeral mass was celebrated December 12 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church of Lusk by Father O'Connor.

Casket bearers were Clyde Blackmore, Martin Brozovich, Carl Bruch, Andrew McMaster, Joseph Pfister and Paul Pfister. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

He was born April 9, 1889, at Pueblo Colo., a son of Charles J. and Delhia Carey Geiser. In March 1918 he enlisted in the service at Denver and served overseas for 18 months, the first nine months in active duty. The remainder of the time was with the occupational forces in Germany. He received his discharge at Fort D. A. Russell, Wyo. In 1919, following his discharge, he settled in Lander, Wyo. where he worked as a plumber. In 1926 he moved to Chicago.

He married Jane Pfister, July 14, 1927 at St. Jame's Catholic Church in Douglas.

Following their marriage they moved to Chicago for 5 and a half years, returning to Wyoming in 1933. March 10, 1835 they purchased the ranch which was their home for 32 years. In the spring of 1967 due to ill health, they sold their ranch and moved to Lusk, June 12.

He became seriously ill and entered the Veterans Hospital, October 6, 1967.

His parents, one sister and three brothers died previously.

Survivors include his widow, Jane, one daughter, Mrs. Roland (Patricia) Brown, five grandchildren, Bruce, Victoria, Randall, Pamela and Bryan, one niece, Mrs. Cecilia Ashley, Chicago; two nephews, Charles Geiser, Dallas, Tex, and Edward Geiser, Milwaukee, Wis.

Edward Geiser, 78, Dies Sunday in Vets Hospital

Edward J. Geiser, 78, of Lusk, died Sunday at the Veterans Hospital in Cheyenne. He had been in failing health for years and was confined to the hospital for the past two months.

Rosary services were held at the Peet Mortuary, Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. Mass was said by Father Cornelius O'Connor this Wednesday morning at 10:00 at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Lusk. Military services were held at the Lusk Cemetery. Casket bearers were Martin Brozovich, Paul Pfister, Joseph Pfister, Clyde Blackmore, Andrew McMasters and Carl Bruch.

He is survived by his widow, Jane of the family home, one daughter, Mrs. Roland (Patricia) Brown of Laramie, his son-in-law, Mr. Brown, five grandchildren, one niece, Mrs. Cecilia Ashley, Chicago, two nephews, Charles Geiser, Dallas,Tex., and Edward Geiser, Milwaukee, Wis.
