Funeral services for Robert Alan Graves, age 69, was held February 21, at the Bader Funeral Home in Lusk with Rev. Mark Lohr officiating.

Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery with graveside services conducted by Lusk Elks Lodge #1797.

Mr. Graves died February 17, at the Niobrara County Memorial Hospital in Lusk, Wyo.

He was born September 21, 1924, in Woodworth, N.D., the son of Alfred and Inga Graves.

He served as a paratrooper and spent 38 years of his life in the oil fields.

Bob married Elaine Mann of Newcastle, Wyo. on July 9, 1953.

Many of the choices and decisions he made were motivated by a desire to provide a good life for those he loved. He did help all his kids achieve higher education either through college or other schools. Their interests were his, and he made great efforts and drove countless miles to support them in school activities. Games and sports were particularly interesting to him. He watched lots of them and could always offer some pertinent commentary about what he had seen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

In addition to his wife of Lusk, survivors include two sons, Stanley of Brigham City, Utah; and Bill of Cheyenne, Wyo.; three daughters, Karen Stroh of North Platte, Neb., Donna Meier of Lakewood, Colo. and Terri Hovis of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Ray of Hockley, Texas and Daniel of Lusk, Wyo.; one sister, Shirley Odegaard of Jamestown, N.D.; eleven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials to the Lusk Volunteer Ambulance Service would be appreciated by the family.

Bader Funeral Home of Lusk was in charge of arrangements.
