Kenneth Erlewine Dies Saturday; Services Tuesday

Kenneth L. Erlewine, 58, of Lusk died Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Casper Hospital following a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. from the Peet Chapel in Lusk.

The Rev. Fred Bolinger of the First Baptist Church of Lusk officiated. Graveside services were held by the Elks Lodge No. 1797 at the Lusk Cemetery.

Mrs. A. F. DeCastro, organist accompanied Mrs. Hobart Cockreham and Dr. Richard Collins as they sang "In the Garden" and "Beyond the Sunset".

Casket bearers were Bus Gautschi, Fay Outhouse, Harry Fernau Sr., Lloyd Coleman, Ben Wolfe and Harold Rogers.

Kenneth LeRoy Erlewine was born to Samuel H. and Ada McKinney Erlewine July 9, 1911 at Council Bluffs, Iowa. His family moved to Van Tassell, Wyo., in 1913 and to Lusk in 1930.

July 31, 1937 he and Lucille Morgan were married in Lusk.

Mr. Erlewine was employed by the Wyoming Highway Department, retiring in 1962 due to ill health.

He was a charter member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 1797 and was a member of the Lusk Volunteer Fire Department for many years.

Survivors include his widow, Lucille, and one son, Sam, of the family home; one daughter, Shelia Outhouse and one grandson of Aurora, Colo.; one sister, Blanche Erlewine of Lusk; one brother, Jim of Casper; and an aunt Blanche Erlewine of Woodbine, Iowa.

One son, his parents, three brothers and one sister died previously.
